Last year for the first time, we ended up buying a Christmas tree. Thirty bucks down and almost all the needles falling off, we decided to reinstate our tradition of hiking until we find our tree. So here is our Christmas tree.
Kendyll and Daddy posing in front of the tree that we rescued from the bitter cold. My uncoordinated pregnant self fell twice while looking for this tree. Oh, but it was worth it!
We had to do a little trimming, but we like trees with character. We plugged all the lights on to make sure they worked. One strand blinks and Kendyll was amazed by this. She yelled "Daddy come here! Broken. . . light. . . broken. . .light."
Kendyll is like her daddy and has to make a face for pictures. So then she wants us all the make funny faces. These are our decorating faces.
Kendyll put the last ornament on the tree. She loves Christmas. . .
Our first tree that we chopped down . . . since we moved into our house; isn't she a beauty.
FELIZ NATAL!

Yay! Someday we may get back into getting a real tree...someday, we may actually have room for a normall sized tree...and maybe even someday we'll actually go to the woods to cut it down! The tree looks great!
ReplyDeleteI love your real tree. My is plastic with a lot of things I love. #1 not having to keep it alive. I love that I can feel good about the tree that keeps on giving me love even if it is fake. I some times have a hard time remebering feeding my children so a tree would really suffer at my house.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute fam, delph!
